A new year!

After saying goodbye to 2006 and ringing in 2007 I can honestly say i am grateful for a new year. Over the last few weeks Stu and I have been going over last year and are truly amazed we survived it. What a trip! We had such a full year and are ready to enter into a season of less stress. Moving here has been the hardest trial we've had to go through in our marriage, but we are determined to make the best of it and trust that the Lord will make our path straight. So, here are a few highlights of 2006:

January-Silas was born! With our closest friends and family around us we welcomed our first born into our family. That was so cool!
April- we met Dr. Justin (si's chiropractor) and he made life so much better :) we found out Silas had some nerve damage in his neck which cause all his hours of crying. Thank you Dr. J for all your hard work!
May- sold our house and moved into a VERY small apartment. worst decision ever made :)
July- MOVED TO AUSTRALIA
September- moved out of the in-laws house and into our own humble abode. we love it! you can see our house if you "google" "Hope Island Resort+Villa Casablanca"
October- flew back to Seattle for Thanksgiving. What a great time we had with friends and family
December- my mom came back to Australia wih us. we had so much for showing her around. thanks for coming mom!

And now we're in 2007. We've got a full schedule but i think that's a good thing. Silas is still in swimming and loving it. We try to get him in the water daily plus he had his first "boating" experience last weekend. he was laughing and yelling the whole time. He's definitely a boat boy like his dad. I started working a small part time job a few weeks ago in a little Italian restaurant on the water. It just gives me a few hours away from Silas and allows time with the "real" world. It's nice to have adult conversation :) We have a few trips planned already to be in Seattle this year. We are really missing home at the moment. It's nice to know we can take time off and go home. I'll be home in May for 10 days without stu and silas. It was a hard decision but flying by myself with Si is impossible. Stu is planning on being home in September for a wedding and then we'll all be home for Christmas. I think that's everything! We miss you guys and hope you have a great new year!
Love Stuart, Judi and Silas
