About a month ago we took the plunge and moved out to Australia. We sold our house, left our kitties, and said farewell to friends and family and moved to the Gold Coast. Stuart was offered a position with his parents Naval Architecture company that we just couldn't pass up. In the mean time Silas and I drive around town daily looking for homes. As grateful as we are to have a free room, living with the in-laws is not as glamorous as you'd think. I am dying to just get settled.
So, we're here for another 6 weeks, then we go back to Seattle to get our immigration worked out. Silas and I will be home through Thanksgiving and Stuart is still unsure as to when he'll head back. We're still waiting on his permanent residency for the US. Hopefully we'll be able to travel back as family.
While we're here I thought the easiest way of staying in touch is through a blog. Not really my thing, but I hope you enjoy!
